Christine Diindiisi McCleave, PhDc, an enrolled citizen of the Turtle Mountain Ojibwe Nation, is a dedicated advocate for Indigenous healing and intergenerational trauma recovery. A doctoral candidate and Troth Yeddha’ Research Assistant in Indigenous Studies at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, Christine’s research focuses on Indigenous healing with plant medicines and the impacts of the psychedelic movement. Her work, including her master’s thesis on Native American spirituality, led her to serve as CEO of the National Native American Boarding School Healing Coalition, where she introduced a bill for a national truth commission and collaborated with the U.S. Department of the Interior on Indian Boarding School investigations. A generational boarding school survivor, she is currently project manager for Colorado’s Tribal Working Group under the Natural Medicine Health Act. Named one of the top 75 women in Psychedelics by DoubleBlind magazine in 2023, Christine resides in Minneapolis, is a mother of two, and serves on multiple nonprofit boards.
