Dr. Mills (he/him) is a licensed clinical psychologist, clinical researcher, and organizational development consultant based in Sacramento, CA. He is the founder of the Sacramento Institute for Psychotherapy (where he provides Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy [KAP]), co-founder of the Society of Psychedelic Psychotherapists, and subject matter expert supporting the Heroic Hearts Project in psychedelic decriminalization initiatives in California.

Dr.Mills received a Ph.D. in counseling psychology from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA and is past-president of the Sacramento Valley Psychological Association.  He is a member of the American Society of Ketamine Physicians, Psychotherapists, & Practitioners (ASKP3), the Psychedelic Educator’s Network (PEN), the BigTentKetamine community (BTK), the Society of Indian Psychologists (SIP), and serves on the board of the Couple’s Resource Collective (CRC).  Dr. Mills completed certification training with the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (for MDMA-Assisted Therapy) and advanced training with the Ketamine Training Center (for KAP). He is an Assistant Clinical Professor (VCF) in Psychiatry at the UC Davis School of Medicine, a Lecturer in Psychology at California State University Sacramento, and serves as Faculty-in-Residence at the Carlsen Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.  In his spare time, Dr. Mills enjoys rowing and playing music.
